Many people react with anger when they feel hurt or threatened. Over the time this may become habitual response to distress, with anger outbursts leading to a wide range of interpersonal, emotional, and legal problems. H-L Therapy supports people in developing effective anger management strategies and assists them to stop anger from escalating and impacting upon the quality of their life.

Working with clients to explore the underlying experiences which fuel their anger, Kate aims to increase client self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy communication skills.
I believe in emotional management as opposed to anger management. Its important to understand that anger is often linked to other emotions & can be triggered by these linked emotions, as well as value based conflicts. I have extensive experience in working with people in this area.
Anger is often a very misunderstood emotion and the behaviours that result can be scary for others, and even for the person experiencing overwhelming anger. We work with evidence-based techniques that minimise risk while the anger is managed and dealt with, including behavioural therapies, cognitive-behavioural therapies, narrative therapies, and person-centred therapy.
Anger can provide us with valuable information about how we cope with stress and how we perceive ourselves. Some people may find it explosive, while others may not relate to it. Through this process, I’ll help you manage your anger and find ways to improve your relationships and work life. Working with internal anger is as equally valuable as the presenting emotion, which can result in rage and/or violence.
