Often times, Eating Disorders live in the dark. Whether it be because of shame, denial, or fear, it is imperative to start to bring light to the parts of us that need healing. In my work as an eating disorder therapist, I emphasize the importance of a trauma-informed and nonjudgment oriented approach. In this orientation, I specialize with Binge Eating Disorder and have worked extensively with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa; throughout treatment, I work toward the idea of healing through compassion rather than the criticism that has sustained the disorder for so long. After multiple years of experience as a counsellor for in-patient ED residential care, I have now transitioned to seeing clients individually in my private practice both in person and virtually.
