Tacit often works with couples who are in the process of separating/divorcing or who are preparing to end their relationship, and who want to do so in a civil, respectful manner. We also work with blended family situations, helping family members make the adjustment to the new dynamics that impact them all.
Having gone through the process of divorce myself, I have a full understanding of the grief and complex issues you face during this difficult time. I have worked with many people going through this life transition.
Counselling sessions provide a safe and supportive environment to talk about challenges you may be experiencing as you navigate your divorce or separation. Counselling can be attended either individually, as a couple, co-parenting team, or as a family. It can help to clarify issues, gain new perspectives and work towards positive changes.
Divorce can be hard to navigate. A CBT approach will be used to help explore the impact thought and beliefs affect the clients action and mood. A narrative approach will be used to identify their strengths and reframe their current narrative.
