Registered Psychotherapist, Masters of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy (MCAP)
I am a Grief and Loss specialist and have done a lot of additional training since the completion of my Masters. There is a lot of grief and loss around us in our present day or our past and I find this work very rewarding watching someone develop purpose and hope in their lives after such a difficult time.

Loss or Grief comes in many forms and each of us experiences this in our own way. As such, it is important to establish a safe place where you can feel heard and have the space to reflect to enable you to determine and work with me to establish next steps.

Grief is a word most commonly associated with death, however, actually describes our emotional response to any loss. This could be the end of a relationship, job, friendship, personal belief or identity (to name a few). All change brings about loss and I work to help work through the painful feelings associated with loss.
I work with the client on finding deeper meaning in their life's journey and making positive mental health choices through CBT, narrative and storytelling. We discover the client's inner strength and stamina in challenging times to work on acknowledging and facing grief and finding meaning in the "loss" . We work on good self care options and postive mental health in order to promote wellness and self esteem.
