We work with individuals with BPD as well as individuals who have difficulties with emotional regulation. We use Dialectical Behavior Therapy in our approach.
I spent a year training on a DBT team working with clients with BPD. I regularly use the skills in my practice and enjoying working with clients with BPD to this day.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is often the treatment of choice. DBT helps individuals learn skills to manage intense emotions, regulate mood, improve interpersonal relationships, and increase distress tolerance. Therapy may also focus on exploring past experiences and underlying beliefs contributing to BPD symptoms, while promoting self-awareness and self-acceptance
I am trained in DBT and RO-DBT. These treatments have been proven successful in treating a variety of issues including but not limited to Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, Avoidant Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality Disorder, Substance Use, and Emotional Dysregulation.
I have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and have worked with those who have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, both in groups and individually.
