Are you tired of daily arguments and fighting? Do you find yourself wishing it was like the beginning instead of feeling like it is nearing the end? Maybe your love has turned into what feels more like a friendship lacking intimacy and desire. Using Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling I can help you reconnect to your loved one and learn healthy communication tools.
Marriage and Family Therapist, Ph.D., LMFT, CAS, EMDR-2
Being a marriage and family therapist I work with many different issues in relationships including communication, relationship growth and reconnecting. I have worked with almost any issue that can come up in a marriage/relationship setting new patterns to replace old patterns that no longer work for the couple.
I use a range of therapeutic approaches, including Attachment Therapy and the Gottman Method, to help couples build stronger emotional connections and increase intimacy. We will work collaboratively together to resolve conflict, develop great communication with one another, and ultimately create a healthier and loving relationship.
When it comes to relationships, there’s more than one side to the story. Therapists experienced in working with couples know the struggles that go on behind closed doors. Whether it’s communication problems, sexual issues, infidelity, or something else, you can bet we have a therapist who can help. Looking for pre-marital counseling or just want to make sure you stay as happy as you are now? We can do that too.
When one becomes two, it can be stressful if you are not ready. I provide pre-marital counseling and couple counseling to mend rifts in communication and connection that sometimes happens in intimate relationships.
The choices for couples counseling are plentiful and i take an individualised approach of matching the right techniques for your needs. One of my most used clinical approaches is Emotion focused therapy (EFT) which is an effective couples counseling technique. EFT can help identify destructive patterns in a relationship that begin to interfere with attachments, ultimately preventing two people from bonding. By focusing on those patterns and behaviors that create a disconnect in the relationship, two people can begin healing and bonding in a more positive manner.
