Stress is a normal reaction that at some point in time we all face. Keyword, normal. However, exposure to unrelenting, persistent and chronic stress is anything but normal. It's overwhelming, unhealthy and toxic. Not only are there mental and emotional negative side effects to stress, but physical and physiological ones too. In counseling we work on building coping skills and stress management techniques. While we can't make the stressful stuff go away, we give you tools to make the effects of stress more manageable.
