No one wants postpartum depression as part of thier story... and yet it affects so many women during what they thought would be one of the happiest times of their life. If this is you, it would be my honor to navigate this story with you. Together we will create a plan that is sensitive to your unique situation, whether that includes elements of trauma, grief, anxiety, and creating a plan to help recover from the depression.

Kimberly is certified in perinatal mental health; this encompasses the scope of mental health during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Depression, anxiety, OCD and other mood disorders can onset during the perinatal period, not to mention the transitions in the family. Kimberly is passionate about helping families conquer the mental health challenges and transitions that often occur during the perinatal period.
I recognize the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum and how it impacts the family unit. I have completed intensive training through the perinatal mental health certification program and am passionate about easing the isolation that can be felt during perinatal experiences.
Postpartum depression influences a majority of women after they give birth. In general, being a mother is hard work, coupled with the fact that your hormones are trying to level out, all on a severe lack of sleep. It is no wonder that postpartum depression is so common. Postpartum depression can bring on an overwhelming sense of guilt for most women, due to having a brought a beautiful baby into the world and not always feeling a sense of happiness about it. I would love to help support you through this difficult process by providing a nonjudgmental, safe and hopefully environment to process through your depression and help you to manage and cope with symptoms of postpartum depression more effectively to get your life back on track.
