I am caring and non-judgmental; I realize that talking about problems can be difficult; however, clients find that sharing their concerns with an objective therapist enables them to progress to solutions quickly. I recognize that people seek therapy when what they have tried previously did not work.

I believe I have 2 superpowers. One is listening and the other is being curious. These create a powerful amalgam for change when used with proven therapeutic tools. Change can be scary, but sometimes we take a step into the unknown in spite of our fear. I believe this is being brave. That is the step that can move you toward the change and understanding you want.

Life can be hard. It's filled with unexpected twists and turns, challenges that push us to our limits, and moments of uncertainty that leave us feeling lost and alone. Whether you're grappling with overwhelming emotions such as anxiety and depression, navigating difficult relationships, or struggling to find meaning and purpose, know you're not alone. I understand the complexities of the human experience and the struggles that accompany it. Welcome to my practice, where healing begins and hope thrives.
In years of practicing counseling and doing my own training and research, I have learned that besides knowing "Why" it is also important to know "How." I find many people knowing where their trauma or problem is coming from, but they are still not able to move forward and resolve the issue. My focus is on understanding the client's challenges and then helping them move forward with practical and manageable steps.
Managing life's various stressors can be overwhelming. This is especially true is you are also contending with mental health or substance use challenges. Therapy can be a useful tool for navigating challenging circumstances, exploring and processing your thoughts and emotions, and taking meaningful action that is consistent with your goals and values. It is an opportunity to tend to your emotional wellbeing within an environment characterized by understanding, compassion, and empathy.
My approach is to be client-centered, meaning move at your pace and respect your process. Change is so difficult otherwise you wouldn’t be considering reaching out for help. I do not pressure clients nor do I set the agenda. You decide the direction of the session. You decide your long term goals. My role is to be present with you, to reflect any patterns I hear, and to help you challenge any stories that are repeating and causing you pain. I have been described as authentic, warm and empowering by my clients. My areas of interest are trauma/PTSD, anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem and life transitions. My greatest joy is witnessing a client find relief from trauma and feel empowered.

I became a therapist because I have a passion for helping you see the wonder in yourself. I believe in you and I am here to support you by addressing the challenges you encounter. I’m excited to work with you to discover what life is doing for you. My gift is helping you see new perspectives, rewrite your life narrative, and discover self-awareness.
I began to pursue being a therapist because it is a source of healing and understanding and I want to help nurture that in others. I believe in paying it forward. There is a need to provide affordable and accessible mental health care. Therapy is a tool by which people can grow in the understanding of themselves and the world around them. IT is important to provide ethical and reliable care to those who want and need it. I try to guide the patient through the therapeutic experience by providing REST (Respect, Equality, Safety, and Trust.) This is one of the basic principles that I believe creates a healthy relationship. Come join me a safe space.
