When we're stressed, chemicals are released into our body that increase our heart rate, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. This is good in a stressful situation, but not so good when we're ALWAYS stressed. Being stressed without an equal, if not more, amount of time when we're relaxed can lead to mental and physical problems. The prevention? An ability to say "no" to the people, places and things that don't serve us and rob us of our most precious commodity: time.
