For many people, walking through a therapist's door for the first time can be intimidating. It doesn't have to be. My practice offers professional and confidential services in a safe, comfortable and home-like environment. We provide individual, family and couple therapy; children 3 years and older.
As a non-binary queer therapist, I enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community and providing affirming, quality care. I help LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples navigate conflict, gender/sexuality exploration, and communication issues while they work to build a healthy, sustainable connection with themselves and others. I also aim to support queer and trans folx who are looking to heal from disconnection or trauma and find affirming peer relationships or resources in the community.
I empower LGBTQ+ clients to step out of destructive patterns, create satisfying, loving relationships with themselves and others, and find solutions. I am honest, compassionate and straightforward. I welcome clients of all genders, identities and relationship types.
Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor MA, LPC
The LGBTQIA+ community faces mental health issues and unique challenges, in addition to daily stressors, at higher risks than other sections of our society and this is done often without support from the people they most want support from. Having familiarity and experience with orientation/identity is a must for successful therapy outcomes and a level of comfort with a therapist who has experience with community issues eases the process. The rapidly changing situations in our society results in even greater oppression, discrimination, and wellbeing issues. Being authentic and having a sense of self sometimes is met with pressures that lead to mental health concerns. Providing a safe, judgement free space to explore all the concerns and life challenges is what I offer.
Are you have issues with gender identity or gender transition? Do you need support while undergoing gender therapy? Do you need a safe place to talk through questions and stress around your sexual orientation and sexuality? I am here to be a non-judgmental support for you to process your feelings and thoughts and to figure out how to speak your truth and become more comfortable with your identity or taking time to figure it out.
