In therapy we explore what's happening mentally, emotionally and physically when anxiety shows up. We identify how to rebalance our nervous system and turn on our relaxation response. This recalibration serves to generate inner equilibrium so that you feel more emotionally regulated and in control of your thoughts and feelings. In turn, you feel safer in your environment and relationships.
I utilize therapy modalities like somatic therapy, including yoga, breathwork, meditation and mindfulness to help you learn how to generate relaxation and an overall sense of calm in mind, body, emotions and sprit. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support you in learning how to cultivate acceptance and feel more centered and grounded in yourself. I use CBT methods to support finding new ways of thinking that are in greater alignment with how you want to think and feel in the world and in your relationships.
