My name is Lisette, and I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2011 with a Masters in Social work, with a clinical specialty. Prior to that I was working as a counselor in a residential dual diagnosis and substance abuse setting. Originally from England, I now practice out of Houston and see Texas based clients virtually, and in my Houston office.
I offer you a very discreet, compassionate, humanist forward approach with ACT/CBT/IFS/Brainspotting training. Also certified in Complex Trauma (CCTP-II) and CBGT for insomnia. I have spent many years working for a major Texas hospital providing crisis intervention, substance abuse assessment, family intervention, grief counseling, adjustment to chronic illness as well as general supportive therapy. Not all therapists understand what religious trauma is like, especially "lower-case 't' trauma" when you can't point to one single explanation for why church was harmful to you.
