An individual's relationship with their body can be improved through the right combination of understanding underlying experiences one has had in their body, and learning ways to appreciate and care for their bodies in the present.
I help people with body image concerns create flexibility as they heal their relationship with their body and move away from thin ideal/diet culture so they can soften their perfectionism and live a more full and joyous life. I also enjoy addressing gender dysphoria in treatment and helping clients find ways to affirm their gender identity and start to see and appreciate their true selves.
