Dr Peter Gibbons has a PhD related to Domestic Violence perpetrators and has done significant work in this area. Adri Hunt has worked for 5 years with men who became violent with their partners or children. Treatment and therapy involves dealing with anger and anxiety and developing a healthier sense of self, that is developing self control, self-responsibility and self-agency
Christine, our Principal Psychologist, has many years experience working with clients in the area of Domestic Abuse and/or Violence. Christine also supervises other psychologists within our team to support clients to develop the strategies required to safety plan and move forward from this distressing period.

Domestic violence counselling encompasses prevention, early intervention, crisis, and post crisis support to clients (and their families) as well as providing a safe space for those women with ongoing and past experiences to process the complex drivers and impacts of domestic violence in their lives and consider options for recovery pathways.
