Body image is a combination of the thoughts and feelings that you have about your body. Body image may range between positive and negative experiences, and one person may feel at different times positive or negative or a combination of both. As body image is influenced by internal (e.g. personality) and external (e.g. social environment) factors we work with the client to develop a balanced view of body image and it's impact.
We work with our client on body positivity and finding meaning in the client's strengths and characterstics in order to promote wellness and self esteem.
Hello and welcome! I am a registered Arts Therapist and counselor based in Sydney. I provide art therapy and counselling to those experiencing challenges or concerns with their body image. My passion for expressive creative arts has inspired me to further explore how art can be used as a tool for healing, and the ways it can be used in mental health recovery as a psychotherapeutic modality.
