Congratulations on starting the therapist search process! I know this one is not easy from personal experience. It is important that you relate to someone on a deep level, in order to meet your personal goals. I approach all of my therapy from a trauma lens and with respect and care.

Approach Description: I approach each client from a space I call "meeting you where you are at". You are unique and you deserve to not be put into a category or label before therapy has even started. I want to know the pieces of you that you are open to sharing. I pride myself on being relatable and not the "and how does that make you feel?" kind of therapist. You will often see appearances from my cat Lumen, and my two doggos Cooper and Kona in video sessions and they are full of cuteness and love.

My clinical focus for the last 6 years has been in trauma, and working within the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of the community myself, I know how important it is to not need to "explain" your identity. We do offer sliding scale EMDR services as we would like to ensure access to this therapy should be more wide spread.
I also take great passion in working with adolescents ages 13 and up. Being a teenager is tough, as I am sure most of us remember!
I own a group practice named Eclectic Minds Therapy. This group has well qualified and like minded individuals who also want to support you! If for some reason I am not a great fit, you have a great chance of finding that within my group practice!
