Michelle Broweleit Practice Description
Since 2007 I have been helping individuals, couples, and families heal from trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and unhealthy relationships. We will work together toward your goals- defining, pursuing and achieving them using a variety of methods and modalities. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy are often used in my practice, and many find results in a timely manner, not requiring years of ongoing therapy. EMDR will soon be added to assist those with PTSD. My personal history includes work in a variety of fields- nursing, teaching, foster parenting, owner of several businesses, corrections officer, various ministry positions in different churches, and even more. In a desire to put all these different experiences to good use, I chose a counseling career later in life when most of my children were grown. You will find compassion, understanding, and a sense of humor in therapy with me- not judgment or condemnation. You will be challenged to identify the changes you want to make, given tools to implement them, and be encouraged and held accountable as you put them into practice. You can do this!
