My mottos are : "Be the cycle-breaking hero of your family lineage! The buck stops with you. Stop Dimming Your Light AND start disrupting multigenerational family patterns"
I have created a unique blend of traditional talk therapy and eastern based modalities that work with the mind, the body and the soul which I call Holistic Psychotherapy. In addition to verbal unpacking of the core issues, I use neural science, visualization and intention to rewire the mind and belief systems that a person may have learned as survival tools in childhood, that no longer work for them in their adult lives and relationships. The work powerfully affects permanent and long-lasting change in an adult individuals, couples and/or adult families.
My main focus is to disrupt multi generational dysfunction.

Approach Description: My approach to psychotherapy is compassionate, holistic and empowering. I am a firm believer in treating the whole person, taking into account their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, so that I can help them lead healthy, fulfilling lives. Through adopting a client-centered approach, I prioritize each client's experience and work to build a collaborative relationship that empowers them to take an active role in their own healing process. To accomplish this, I draw upon an extensive range of tools and techniques including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and somatic therapies to provide individualized treatment to address each client’s unique needs and aspirations. I strongly emphasize the need for clients to tap into their own inner resources, develop greater self-awareness, and move towards greater self-acceptance, authenticity, and inner peace.

My style of holistic psychotherapy, which involves talk therapy, somatic, energetic exploration and visualization is a powerful and extremely effective way to tap into the messages that the body is trying to express and bring to the fore.
This type of therapy addresses memory at the cellular level of a trauma or other events that a person may have experienced. We work to heal the past as well as deeply engage the present so that the future can be a wonderful existence.
I started my practice back in the early 90's in Toronto where little was known about combining holistic modalities with talk therapy.
We are not just talking heads. We are bodies, we are souls and we are the result of repetitive ways of thinking that we learned and normalized from our family of origin which I call our "Family-Culture". This subconscious material is what impacts our reactions, our adult relationships and our parenting.
I love that I get to work with people from all over the world since I also work remotely in a very effective way in which I teach people how to utilize breath work and visualization as well as somatic focusing to maximize their talk therapy process.
I often will spend some of the session bringing in healing music to accompany breathing and nervous system calming processes.
Trauma is not healed through talk alone. In fact, sometime trauma is driven deeper into the person if talk is the only modality used. We need to engage the body, as well as different tools like visualization, intentional work as well as movement to actually affect change in a person's life in a more permanent way.
