I tend to work particularly well with clients who struggle with being compassionate towards themselves and have spent much of their life focused on what others expect of them, getting further away from their own inner voice. My aim is to help clients discover and embrace their authentic selves so they can pursue what they truly value in life. My therapy style is strengths-based, collaborative, and flexible, integrating multiple approaches to therapy. I am excited to get to know you as an individual and figure out what approach to therapy will best fit your unique needs. I know that reaching out for therapy can be a vulnerable experience. I hope you are giving yourself credit for taking this first step.

Approach Description: I see therapy as a collaborative experience that is not one-size-fits-all. I integrate multiple theories in my work and pull mainly from humanistic, relational, and mindfulness and acceptance based therapies. I am also interested in understanding how your various identities (race, gender, sexuality, nationality, ability, etc) have shaped your experience in the world. I believe strongly in the great Carl Rogers quote that says "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

I offer a free 30 minute video consultation to start. This can be done via phone, video, or in-person. I know that finding the right therapist can be a daunting process, and I want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible before we start our work together.
I strongly encourage starting out with weekly sessions, but I also understand that you may have scheduling or financial concerns that require more flexibility.
