Approach Description: In my therapeutic practice, I strive to create an engaging and supportive environment for children, teens, and adults. When working with adults, I utilize a Person-Centered framework that emphasizes active listening and understanding each person's unique situation. I'm attuned to when a more creative or expressive method may be helpful, and I incorporate various exercises—such as journaling, art, or sand tray work—based on my client's comfort levels. Although you, the client, are always in control, I enjoy joining you in figuring out what type of therapy resonates the most with you personally.
With younger clients, I draw from Play Therapy and various interactive modalities that are most natural to them, making therapoy both enjoyable and effective. When children and teens can express themselves through play and creative activities, they often reveal their feelings and thoughts in a way that traditional talk therapy may not facilitate.
Ultimately, my goal is to meet each client where they are and support them on their journey towards healing, creating a safe space for exploration, understanding, and growth.
