Welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor who specializes in helping those who have experienced covert narcissistic abuse regain their power, their agency, and their life back! This has been my specialty for the 8 years I have been in private practice. I also specialize in couples therapy, and helping couples get back on track is part of my purpose work as well. I am well-versed in addiction, as I worked in a partial hospitalization therapist for those who had addiction and at least one other mental health comorbidity. Due to the comorbidities associated with Narcissistic Abuse, I am also a strong generalist with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, addiction, life transitions, and stress management/coping. I partner with clients to help them process complex emotions and gain personal insight. My ultimate goal is to help all clients discover how to best empower themselves and reach a greater level of authenticity.

I have worked in private practice as well as in Partial Hospitalization with clients who have a substance use disorder and at least one other mental health disorder. While I primarily use Trauma-Informed-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I draw from many different modalities to develop an individualized approach based on each client's specific needs and personality. I believe in partnering with clients and working together to best achieve the client's goals. When I worked in the PHP program, my primary modality was motivational interviewing. When I am seeing families, I lean heavily on the Family Functions Theory or modality, with couples, I use the Gottmen Method of intimate relationships. There is no one size fits all approach, but I am well-versed in many evidence-based modalities and choose the modality based on the individual more than the diagnosis. Personalized care is more effective than disease-based care, as it is a proactive rather than reactive model. This is the nursing model as opposed to the medical, disease-based model, and I am proud to use this philosophy as an LPC-MHSP and an APRN. I am currently in school full time to get my Psychiatric prescriptive privileges (I am currently a Family Nurse Practitioner so I can prescribe medications but only in a primary care setting) so I can prescribe mental health medications should my clients need them. The program for me is 4 semesters because I'm already an APRN, so this time next year, I will be able to write for you if you need a low dose SSRI, ADHD, or other mental health medications. I hope to hear from you!
