You may be feeling lost, anxious, and don't know why everything that used to work to feel better isn't now. Maybe it feels like your relationships are suffering, or like you've never even had a healthy one. Every little thing added to your plate feels so overwhelming and it might be easier just to shut down. You might worry you're "too much" or feel like you can't do anything right. At a young age you realized it felt safer to hide it all away and never stopped. You tell yourself, "everyone has childhood stuff, I'm fine," ...right? One thing you’re sure of is you want to feel better, safe, like you have direction. You’re ready to have quality relationships and leave behind old patterns. Most of all, you’re ready to feel good enough.

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
  • Internal Family Systems
  • Person-Centered
Approach Description: IFS is a model that helps expand your understanding of how and why you feel, think, and act the way you do. This therapy comes with a radical shift in perspective that will allow you to achieve the deep, complete level of healing you're looking for. IFS is founded on the understanding that all parts have good intentions and are just doing their best to help us in the ways they know how. Parts protect us in ways that worked at one point in our lives, but got frozen in time, leading to the confusing extremes and ineffective coping skills we struggle to push aside or change. IFS unburdens these parts from the pain they carry and brings them up to speed. To a place where they can transform, learn new ways of being, and help you in ways that feel good.

Brie Chandler Practice Description
Guiding Path Counseling is a psychotherapy practice providing services to adults across Arizona. I help clients facing relationship struggles, anxiety, and complex PTSD from childhood abuse or neglect. Therapy should be a place where you feel safe and understood. All parts of you are welcome here and have value. We always go at your pace, never pushing to a place you don’t feel ready to be. Together we create wholeness and connection to release the weight of heavy burdens. It takes courage to connect with the parts of you that have been pushed aside for so long. It may feel scary to face "childhood stuff," and that makes sense. Know you are not alone and I can help you reach the sense of peace you’ve been looking for. Reach out today for a free 15-minute consultation.
