Counselor/Therapist, Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I offer fully virtual sessions, accessible from anywhere in California. My focus is on supporting adults and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Together, we'll uncover patterns, build resilience, and develop personalized strategies to help you achieve your goals and enhance your overall well-being.
Self awareness inspires confidence and clarity in our values, desires, and boundaries. Therapy is place where you learn to trust yourself despite expectations from family, friends, and culture. It's a sacred space; a place you can come unscripted and raw. My hope is to provide a safe place for you to cultivate a deeper connection with yourself.
I have been trained in a variety of modalities therefore I'm able to approach every client according to their unique situation and experiences. I have a track record of reducing the symptoms of trauma. This helps you lighten the load so you can approach daily life stressors with more ease.
My educational background includes my current PhD program in Depth Psychology. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and was the clinical director of 6 detox & residential facilities including LifeSync Malibu, Rebos Detox, A Giving Tree, Hollywood Recovery Center, New Spirit Recovery, and Phase 2 ATC in Encino. I was the first to create LifeSync Malibu addiction residential program.
All treatment interventions are collaboratively designed and customized to address the unique needs of each client, grounded in the latest evidence-based practices.
I find that for most of us, we heal best when we can feel completely accepted without judgment or critique by another, and then learn for ourselves how to value the full range of our own emotions. By relaxing our self-control and increasing self-compassion, feelings can get unstuck and flow more freely, generating new vitality, action, and wonder.
Wherever you are, we can establish a safe space on Zoom where I will help you cultivate your own distinctive insight, wisdom, and imagination. I combine many powerful modalities, including Jungian inner work, neuroscience, fitness, career, and spirituality, but I will carefully tailor my approach to honor your unique needs and possibilities.
Accessible remote therapy for young professionals and couples. I help my clients in navigating anxiety, ADHD, major life transitions, burnout, and/or relationship issues. Specializing in supporting neurodivergent adults and couples, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your identity and relationships freely.

After a decade in private practice, Dr. Rhodes' new practice was born after her transformational spiritual journey (which involved yoga working with goddesses of the Venus lineage, and learning about the spirit world studied by medical professionals in the UK).
While Dr. Rhodes is trained in "evidence based" practices related to the field of relationship science, she uses her intuition to help you find your own path.
CREATE THE LIFE YOU WANT.
Things not working the way you'd like? Find out why and change it.
Anxiety, depression, trauma, gay/lesbian/bisexual issues, addictions (substances or behaviors)? These are some of the areas where I can help.
YOU SET THE COURSE, AND I'LL HELP YOU GET THERE.
Why did no one warn you about how hard the transition to parenthood was going to be? You often feel that you’re not doing a “good enough” job and wonder why other parents seem to have it all figured out. You may not have had the pregnancy, birth, or postpartum experience that you wanted. You love your baby more than anything but you don’t always love being a parent.
I’ve been there. Therapy is a resource that helped me feel less alone as I navigated the immense changes that came with becoming a parent. I’m a queer, neurodivergent mother of twins and my lived experience with perinatal loss, birth trauma, NICU parenting, being postpartum in 2020, and perinatal mental health disorders drew me to this work.
The concept of self-love is a mystery because you often default to a painful pattern of beating yourself up. Being productive is important to you but instead you feel overwhelmed and burnt out. You want to be in the flow with your partner but rather you are constantly at odds leaving you feeling lonely and isolated. Cultivating deeper relationships is a value to you but you feel disconnected, anxious and stressed. These and other of life’s great emotional impasses are what often lead people to therapy.
I believe the most valuable impact therapy can have on you is a deeper understanding of yourself and who you want to show up as in the world. Through consistent, gentle, and thoughtful investigation of oneself, there can be considerable growth. The deeper we are able to go together, the more attuned you will become with yourself and others.
I provide my clients with directive, empowering therapy aimed at challenging you to look at yourself in a more introspective and curious way. My clients walk away from therapy with me feeling inspired and motivated to make meaningful change in their life. My main areas of focus include: entrepreneurs, entertainment industry professionals, gay men & couples.
Seeking out professional support can feel hard, awkward, and even subtly intimidating. As a therapist, I dedicate my job to make sure all of my clients feel safe in the space that is created between us, allowing them to name and explore the various emotional pains that may have left them feeling stuck, derailed, angry, or even hopefuless. My therapy style is a mixture of soft tenderness that helps my clients feel seen and cared for, intentional questions of curiousity that helps my clients to expand their thinking and meaning making, while also, when appropriate, to subtly challenge any false beliefs or perceptions that may be playing into the role that may be keeping them adrift.
Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
A patient should feel the therapist's genuine interest in him or her, and should gradually come to trust the therapist's open, non-judgmental attitude. My aim is to provide a growth-enhancing environment for patients as we join together to deal with whatever struggles they are experiencing. People in my practice tend to grow in their ability to face the difficulties in their lives. They develop greater confidence in the legitimacy of their wants and needs and in their ability to get those needs met.
I specialize in helping trauma survivors, especially survivors of childhood and/or adult sexual trauma, reclaim the life they were meant to live. If you're struggling with symptoms related to trauma, such as being easily triggered, anxiety or depression, dissociation (feeling spaced out, numb, unable to ground, or connect to your body's sensations) trouble sleeping, nightmares, or flashbacks and more, you're in the right place (for an extensive list of trauma symptoms check out my post https://www.healingsexualtrauma.com/post/what-are-trauma-symptoms). My goal is to help you get the results you're looking for while offering lots of needed compassion and understanding. I'm the author of the Healing Sexual Trauma Workbook, the upcoming Healing Sexual Trauma Guided Journal (2024), and teacher of the PESI Sexual Trauma Clinical Training. I'm dedicated to supporting my clients as they navigate their healing journey.
I believe that no matter where you’ve been, what you’ve been through, or where you are currently, there is hope. I know that life can throw some crazy curve balls and I understand how painful and earth-shattering crisis can be. You may feel too weary to deal with what is happening (or you may be tired of always having to be so strong), but sometimes transformation can happen just by holding on. I would like to be the person who supports you in hanging on, even if the rope seems to be slipping through your fingers. Because I believe the future can look different than the present and the past. Things can change. So if you feel like giving up, please give me a call instead.
Like a tree, I believe that in order to change the fruit (what is currently going on in our life), we need to look at the root. You can pick every orange off an orange tree hoping it will grow apples, but unless you change the root, it will just keep growing oranges. I believe that if we can get to the “heart” (or root) of what is happening, you will see different fruit begin to develop. Because I believe that many of life’s struggles stem from wounds of the heart. I want to help wounded hearts heal. I enjoy working with people of all cultures, beliefs and backgrounds. For those who are interested in Christian Counseling, I am also trained in integrating God into that healing process.
