CSP's Mission for Women
The Center for Specialized Psychology was established in 2017, with a primary focus on helping female survivors of domestic violence and other trauma related experiences.
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence: 10 Million people a year are physically abused by an intimate partner; 20,000 calls are placed a day to Domestic Violence Hotlines; 20% of women in the United States have been raped.
CSP's mission is to promote healing and recovery for women of all ages, ethnicities, and lifestyles, who have experienced unfortunate life circumstances. CSP focuses on helping women heal, energize and become aware of their inner strengths. Treatment is provided via a range of theoretical approaches that are integrated and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual patient. This eclectic approach fosters maximum potential for personal growth and evolution.
CSP's Mission for Youth
Children and adolescents are a very vulnerable population and often experience trouble understanding their role in life among family, friends, peers, and authority figures. Youth are often subjected to bullying or peer pressure, which can result in feelings of anxiety, depression, and behavioral misconduct. CSP provides guidance for such youth, helps them gain insight into their emotions and behaviors, and equips them with critical life skills for achieving success in life. Treatment approaches vary depending on age, and include play therapy, talk therapy and skills building sessions.
