Therapy is offered online and in-person for those located in Colorado Springs, CO; individuals across Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota and Vermont are served online. Considering that not every therapist is the right fit, free 15-minute phone consultations are provided to ensure the connection feels right. Areas of specialization include thought disorders (schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders), mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorders), anxiety, personality disorders (borderline, narcissistic), family conflict, and general life transitions and challenges. Focusing on both individuals and families, my expertise allows for supporting individuals with the lived experiences of the aforementioned challenges, as well as, supporting family members or supports of those diagnosed.
Whole-person care is imperative, and Fulfillment Counseling respects both traditional Western medicine, as well as other alternative, complementary approaches. AcuDetox, a form of auricular acupuncture, has demonstrated benefit for clients in relaxation, sleep, stress-reduction, detoxing from substances, and in anxiety/ depression/ trauma symptom reduction and is available. As an alternative to needles, application of magnetic beads and/or vaccaria seeds onto specific acupressure points on the ear is an additional option. Walk & Talk sessions are also provided for those wishing to integrate activity or movement into their sessions for a simultaneous mind-body benefit. Light therapy is an additional option to add into sessions when clinically appropriate for depression with a seasonal pattern (commonly referred to as Seasonal Affective Disorder).
