The therapeutic connection we make will create possibilities for healing and emotional freedom. If you struggle with depression or anxiety we can work together to shift these patterns. If you have been overwhelmed and stuck in fight, flight, or freeze, we can explore how to navigate life in a different way, befriending your nervous system. I approach our work together as a feminist, Highly Sensitive Person, with a heart full of hope and gratitude to be able to work for justice and healing. Reach out if you think we might be a good fit. I am honoured by each person who lets me be a part of their healing. Regardless of your spiritual beliefs, we can use your spiritual ground as a place to land and know the infinity of resources that are available.

Approach Description: I often use parts work, (Internal Family Sytems) with a somatic approach. This means that we will explore some of the root causes of the issues that are troubling you. Often we will begin with what you are noticing in your body and this may take us to a younger part that may be carrying something that they would like to let go of. This may then inform you of where you may want to create new boundaries.
As we work together, we have to remember that slow is fast - we have to wait to do some of the bigger things until your whole self, and all of your parts, have had a chance to build trust.
In the meantime, there is lots to do in an effort to learn how to befriend your nervous system and regulate.
Understanding that the body does indeed keep the score, our use of your developing ability to read what is happening in your body can be a key to lead us into insight and then healing.
I am currently being trained in ACT - Acceptance and Committment Therapy and this is a very effective way to help people redesign their lives in line with their values.
I use tapping for myself and love to use it with people who want to change the way they think and talk to themselves. It is a great way to establish a new neural network to support the new and preferred way of being. Meanwhile, we can let the grass grow over that old, well worn path, and gently redirect ourselves when we wander down there again out of habit. New habits take time and monitored practice to become automatic.

First of all, I will meet you with compassion and a hope that is grounded in my belief that we can heal. It is wonderful that the neuroscience is backing up this belief in our ability to heal and in the power of compassion and self compassion in this process. And session after session, the people with whom I counsel keep proving this potential for healing. For so much of what we have experienced, so much of what we carry, we need to be compassionately witnessed, seen by a caring heart. Understanding the newer understanding of trauma; that overwhelms our system and leaves us in a statethat is outside of our Window of Tolerance, our ability to thrive.
