I help adult clients who are experiencing relationship issues, anger, substance abuse, and compulsions to develop a plan for achieving success. I work with people dealing with major life transitions and I specialize in helping clients resolve (not "manage") anger.
Relationship issues usually involve anger, depression, anxiety, cheating, and trust issues (all of which are communications problems). Frequently, relationship issues also involve domestic violence, coercive control, and compulsions, such as gambling or sex. I also specialize in these areas.
My Subspecialty Training Includes: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; Certified Hypnotherapist; Certified Anger Resolution; U.S. Dept. of Transportation Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP); and domestic violence resolution training. Furthermore, I provide individual Intensive Out Patient (IOP) programs for those clients who require discreet, private outpatient treatment.
This is a second career for me. I spent 27 years in business before I went back to school and got my Masters and PhD degrees. I have been a therapist since 2007. My "real world" experiences as a high-tech business executive form the basis for my therapy work. Some of the personnel issues, etc. that I encountered in business would have been much easier to overcome if I had known then what I know now!
