Dr. Mona E Stribling Practice Description
Are you going through a major life change and feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you’ve recently started college, graduated, moved, started or ended a job/career or relationship, had a baby, or experienced the death of a loved. Whether ”good” stress or “bad” stress, these transitions can be very difficult. Do you think you may be depressed-you often feel sad, down, blue, or blah. Maybe you don’t even know why, or you do know why but you’ve been unable to “get over it.” Is overthinking keeping you up nights? Is fear/avoiding keeping you from doing things you want or need to do? Do you often feel nervous, irritable, on edge. You may be experiencing anxiety. The after-effects of trauma can look a lot like stress/anxiety, as well as depression, and they can also be quite debilitating. A traumatic event can be an accident, disaster, assault, war, abuse, or death of loved one. It can also be a one time incident or a recurring experience. Maybe you’ve experienced stress or trauma related to disability, for example, adjusting to recent physical loss or dealing with ongoing disability- related stigma and social barriers. With any of these challenges, you may not only feel physically, mentally, or emotionally unwell, you may also notice that you’re not functioning your best at school/work, or home, in your relationships, and at self-care. Are you motivated to make a change, to make your life transition more manageable, or to move forward in your healing and growth? If so, you have come to the right place! I specialize in solution-focused and integrative therapies for adults with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship, and ability-related issues. I offer a very warm, supportive, and confidential virtual space for your comfort and security. My treatment style focuses on your goals, strengths and resources, unique identity, and lived experiences. I use scientifically-supported therapies and am flexible in my work, drawing from a wide range of interventions to personalize our sessions and best meet your needs and reach your goals.  If you feel we would be a good fit, let’s connect and discuss your hopes for therapy and how I can help.
