Life can be so stressful and so discouraging. When too many things go wrong, or too many things are too demanding and become overwhelming, we start to experience depression and anxiety. Relationship issues are also a very challenging part of our lives, whether feeling lonely and longing for a good relationship, trying to communicate successfully with your partner, dealing with painful problems like infidelity or arguments, or letting go of a lost love. These are the things I can help you with.
My office is located in San Luis Obispo (SLO), and I'm accessible across the Central Coast, including Paso Robles, Atascadero, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, the Five Cities area, and Santa Maria.
When you can't get through the difficulties of depression, anxiety, or relationship conflicts, or they have troubled you for quite some time, you'll need to face them eventually. I encourage you to start now. The choices you make today will determine your future, and there really is hope for things to change for the better. I'm glad that therapy is seen more and more now as a healthy, proactive thing to do, for a person to function at their strongest and best, and to benefit the loved ones in their lives.
My practice mainly consists of individuals working through various forms of depression and anxiety, as well as trauma, midlife transitions issues, and clients working on the full range of relationship challenges, with a focus on improving themselves and their relationships. I want to emphasize that you can still make significant improvements to your relationship even if your partner does not want to participate. In fact, this is a much stronger and more productive approach than traditional couples counseling. When you become more insightful, stronger, and healthier as an individual, that invariably feeds back into the relationship, and your partner will respond differently because you've become different.
Again, let me encourage you to have hope that things can improve and that you can feel better. I would be happy to answer any questions or talk about how I might help with your specific situation. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions, or for a free 30-min phone consultation.
