Life is full of messy tensions. People who are supposed to be the safest let us down. The things we know are good for us can be the most difficult to follow through. At one moment, we feel paralyzed by inaction, and in the next, we can be flooded by thoughts. Sorting through these tensions alone can be scary, frustrating, and exhausting. My goal to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment to disentangle the complex narrative of your life and find your unique way of thriving. I provide exclusively online therapy in the state of California.

Treatment Approach
- Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
- Relational Psychotherapy
Approach Description: My therapeutic approach draws from relational psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy approaches. Relational psychodynamic theory pays particular attention to how relational patterns repeat throughout our personal histories and how they show up in the therapeutic process. By understanding the patterns we find ourselves in, we can break out of our stuck points and find new ways of relating with others.
Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) highlights the notion that in life, things are rarely black and white and being able to hold seemingly conflicting ideas together in tension allows us to have a more full picture of reality. Often, getting unstuck means transforming "either/or" propositions into "both/and."

In my approach to therapy, I believe that symptom reduction is a necessary part of the process but understanding the root of our struggles is how change can be long-lasting. Therapy can offer us the opportunity to develop a deep sense of self-understanding, accept our normal human limitations, and discovering that we are more powerful than we ever imagined.
My therapeutic approach has been shaped by serving diverse populations in three different states across multiple settings ranging from downtown urban centers, immigrant communities, and suburban healthcare clinics. From my time working in primary care medical settings, I embrace the notion that living a full and flourishing life not only means healing from past wounds, but also taking preventative measures to build resilience and develop healthy rhythms of living.
I have a special heart for issues related to faith and spirituality including spiritual abuse, religious trauma, faith deconstruction, clergy care, and spiritual formation.
