Asking for support can be difficult, especially for those that feel they can and should be able to get through anything on their own. I understand that the decision to start therapy can be scary, and I am committed to making the experience a positive one. I have a passion for helping people tap into positive change and healing. I am committed to helping you uncover strengths and resilience you may have been unaware you had. I can work with you to develop coping skills to help help you face challenges with more confidence in the future. Approach Description: Seeking support can be difficult for many, and it is the first step toward healing. My goal is to make coming to therapy feel safe and comfortable, and I believe that the relationship we form together is an important part of making progress. I tailor my approach based on the unique experience each person brings into the room. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy, which is very effective in helping individuals become aware of negative thought processes that can lead to depression, anxiety and unhealthy behaviors. Identifying and shifting long-held negative thinking can improve your mood, your outlook and the way you approach your life.

I find meaning and joy in helping people through difficult life transitions. One of the most difficult transitions in life is the loss of a loved one. I work with individuals, couples and families who are grieving a loss, including traumatic loss, when a death happens suddenly and often under violent circumstances. I help clients adapt to and navigate difficult life transitions that can feel overwhelming, including changes in relationships, career, identity, health and aging. I facilitate a number of grief groups as part of my practice. I see clients at my Pasadena office or through telehealth for clients anywhere in California.
