Julie Willsie
Registered Psychotherapist, BSc, MACP; Registered Psychotherapist
It is my life experience that is my greatest asset. I have divorced, found a wonderful life partner, raised 2 children and 2 stepchildren, and went back to school at 50 to start a new career. Although I know our past shapes us, I really like to focus on the present and how to work together to address your issues, set goals and work at reaching them together. Some of this may require the difficult work of looking back, but always with the focus of moving forward.

My hope for you is to feel comfortable in our sessions together. It is your opportunity to talk, and be listened to, with no judgement. Together we'll discuss your issues and prioritize what you want to work on. Together we'll come up with goals and a plan of how to get you there.
We can work on issues associated with anxiety, depression, anger management, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, chronic pain, addiction, and mood and personality disorders (bipolar, borderline personality). I particularly enjoy working through the challenges of life changes with teens, young adults, those in mid-life, or retirees - whether it is related to relationships, careers or just trying to find out who you are.
Often, we reach a point where we feel like we need to talk to someone, and although we may have great friends and family connections, that is not who we need at that time. This is when counselling can be so very helpful, to reach out to someone that will listen, without opinion, and help to find our way in life. You don't need to have a diagnosis, or a referral, it is only up to you to start the journey.
