When asked to describe myself in one word, I generally choose unflappable, which may be another way of saying grounded. I jumped into this work with two feet, training first in addiction at UCLA, and then at Pacific Graduate Institute for a Masters in Counseling. I am a certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, I CADC II, and hold dual licensure as LMFT and LPCC. I also trained in EMDR, at the Parnell Institute.

Therapy can be a leap of faith, a hopeful search for relief from uncomfortable or unmanageable states, or a reach for deeper insight and meaning. Whether temporary, or longer term those first steps can at times be the most tentative, however quite rewarding once taken. My foundational training in the Psychodynamic, Depth and Humanistic traditions merged with innovative and evidence based advancements in attachment theory, neuroscience and the body’s stress response, have led me to a strengths based, integrative and client centered approach whereby each treatment plan is tailored appropriately to the unique needs of each client. With experience in Residential Inpatient, Intensive Outpatient and private practice, I view my work as a collaboration with the client that honors the person and their process working towards healthy relationships – with Self, others and their environment. My style has been described as calm, insightful and reflective. Areas of focus include EMDR, which has been deeply rewarding work for clients seeking support with trauma and addiction, and neuroscience based strategies aimed at regulating the nervous system to deal with the presence of anxiety and depression. I work in telehealth with teens and adults, and have experience with the unique challenges faced by clients who work in the motion picture industry.
