Additionally, if your benefits for therapy services run out while we are working together, we can discuss sliding scale options to ensure you can continue receiving the support you need. My therapy practice is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and respectful space where clients can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward meaningful growth. Drawing on a rich blend of professional expertise and personal insight, I bring a compassionate approach that is tailored to the needs of each individual, family, or child I work with.
As both a mother to neurodiverse children and being neurodiverse myself, I understand the unique challenges and gifts that come with conditions like ADHD and Autism. My background as an educator has given me a strong foundation for working with neurodiverse individuals, and I strive to create a space where their strengths are celebrated, and their struggles are supported with empathy and understanding.
I believe that no single therapeutic approach fits all, which is why I draw from a range of evidence-based techniques and tailor my interventions to fit each client’s specific needs. These approaches include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helping clients focus on what matters most and take steps toward their goals despite life’s challenges, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A proven approach to processing trauma and reducing its impact, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Spiritually Augmented CBT: Offering practical tools for reshaping negative thought patterns, with the option to integrate spiritual perspectives, Polyvagal Theory: Supporting emotional regulation by understanding the mind-body connection.
For clients who value their spiritual beliefs, I provide an approach that respects and incorporates spirituality as part of the therapeutic process. Whether it’s exploring meaning, enhancing coping strategies, or understanding thoughts and emotions through a spiritual lens, I honour each client’s individual journey and perspective.
What makes my practice unique is my commitment to seeing and supporting the whole person—not just their struggles, but their potential, values, and aspirations. My personal experiences with trauma, grief, and loss have deepened my empathy and understanding, allowing me to connect authentically with clients from all walks of life. I am passionate about helping individuals and families create meaningful change and live lives aligned with their values.
Taking the first step can be challenging, but it’s also the start of something transformative. Reach out today, and let’s begin this journey together toward healing, growth, and living a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
