Since I was a kid I always knew that my purpose in life was to help others, I just didn’t really know how! I was raised by two hard working immigrant parents and I felt caught between two cultures. I was raised in Canada, I was Canadian! But, never Canadian enough. I was raised with my parents' cultural background values! But that didn't resonate 100% with me either. I never felt like I could fit in. This left me feeling isolated, and I had internalized this shame as a teen and this had impacted my own mental health. I decided to attend therapy and then something clicked, this is what I have been searching for my whole life! This is my why. I opened Nūrish to help others with their mental health so that they can find the light within their own darkness and be their most authentic self.
