Patty Dumont, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
 therapist: Patty Dumont, LCSW,
Online in Florida
I have been Licensed since 2006, but worked within behavioral health prior to that. I know it is not easy to ask for help. There is no one approach that will be effective with everyone, as therapy is tailored to your specific needs. I take you entrusting me in this process with great priority and care. My approach is one of compassion and empathy. Whether you are facing depression, anxiety, loss, or any of the many stressors that one may go through, my purpose is to walk with you in reaching your goals. Therapy can be challenging, but my goal is to work in collaboration with you utilizing an approach that is effective so that your goals are met and you have the tools to continue to grow. It is important that I create a space in which you feel comfortable and safe to explore the issues that brought you to therapy. I find it equally important that you are part of all aspects including the approach, so I am open to feedback as not one approach is effective for all, so it is important that the approach we take is effective.

Patty Dumont, LCSW Practice Description
I have worked with a variety of clients in various settings both inpatient and outpatient as well as crisis intervention. My experiences have focused on ages 12 and up, with many years working with adolescents and understanding the unique challenges they face as well as others across our life span. I have also worked within medical settings both acute care as well as Hospice and Palliative Care, giving me a unique perspective on both mind and body. I have many years experience working with adolescents and young adults and I am passionate about this population and the unique challenges they face. There is such rapid change and development, it can be overwhelming and even confusing. The impact of what they have faced over the past few years have added even more challenges.
