The initial intake therapy session will be 1 1/2 hours and will consist of signing some intake paperwork, completing a biopsychosocial and trauma assessment, taking a picture of your driver's license and insurance card, getting your informed consent for treatment, and instruction on the importance of confidentiality within treatment. I will get to know some things about you and the main reasons you are seeking therapy at this time. If necessary, a diagnosis will be assigned and a SNAP (Strengths, Needs, Abilities, and Preferences) form will be completed. A treatment plan will be collaboratively created with your problem list and measurable goals and objectives for each particular problem you are encountering. A schedule for future therapy sessions will be created.
