Do you suffer from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, BPD, suicidal ideation, or have you been the victim of domestic abuse? In my experience, I have coordinated crisis interventions and utilized Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with people who harm others or themselves, especially those who have experienced violence in their families. I believe that the behaviors we display are part of a larger function. Collectively, they comprise the larger tapestry of the human experience, while also acknowledging the uniqueness of each human as they make their way through life.
Using trauma informed care and intensive DBT training, I will help you manage life's everyday stressors. "Dialectics" are an essential component of DBT, which helps normalize multiple truths that may exist at once in our life. Other modalities I have experience in include but are not limited to the Duluth Domestic Violence Model and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
I recognize that reaching out for help may be a difficult first step. Working with individuals, I will focus not on judging what we do, but on why and how we do it, so together we can determine whether it accomplishes what we intended. I look forward to starting this journey with you.
