Valerie MacNeil Counselling Practice Description
I have been in private practice since 2018, and counselling since 2007, and I work from a compassionate, person-centered, non-judgmental approach. Just as each client is unique, I tailor a customized plan for everyone, taking into account each person's individual experience, needs and goals and not a one-size-fits-all approach. My style of counselling is eclectic, however the primary modality I work from is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I offer a free 20-minute consultation which provides you with the opportunity to speak with me and ask any questions you have about my counselling approach and how I can help you. There is absolutely no obligation to book with me after a consultation. I believe it is vital to have the right fit and for clients to feel safe and comfortable with their counsellor. If you are feeling stuck in life or are experiencing overwhelming emotions, unwanted thoughts, challenging relationships, codependency, ADHD, symptoms of trauma, unhelpful habits or addiction, I can help by listening to your concerns and providing the support you need. In our work together, I will help you discover your strengths and provide you with the tools, skills, and coping mechanisms that will help you improve your current situation as well as any challenges that may arise in the future. We all need help from time to time but I realize that the decision to start therapy can be terrifying, believe me, I have been there myself. Book a free consult today.
