Loss or Grief will be primarily explored through talk therapy. The sessions will focus on talking about emotions and discussing their loss. A narrative approach will be used to explore their perspective of grief.
Death is a natural event, but death of a loved one is a loss, separation, divorce, break-ups are also type of loss, everyone reacts differently to their loss. Grief is a feeling after a significant loss and therapy helps to develop coping skills to overcome the grief and move forward.
Loss and Grief can be completely debilitating. It takes tremendous energy to cope with loosing someone or something that you were attached to. Did you know that we expect a significant loss to take upwards of 1 year to recover from.
