Thanks to global telecommunications neither you or I are prisoners of geography. Boundaries are now much more fluid. And that is why I have clients all over the world via phone, Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp (and others by arrangement). I have been conducting online therapy sessions for over ten years now; it suits clients well: no need to travel; you are in your own space, there are no visual distractions and it's easier to focus.

I use Zoom. After we have made contact and a session is booked, I will send you a link to a Zoom meeting. Zoom is accessible via an app (Apple, Android, Windows) or web browser. It can be accessed using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. Here’s a link to a brief video on joining a Zoom meeting: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting- To keep our counselling and therapy session private, I have the waiting room option enabled. Once we have started the meeting, I will lock it, so that no one else can join. On the vary rare occasions that we may lose our internet connection, it will be worth trying to reconnect. If that is not possible for any reason, we can decide via phone what you would prefer to do. Depending on how long is left in the session, we could try a new Zoom meeting room, postpone until another time, or use phones instead.

Finding the right counsellor for you is one of the most important parts that will make therapy more effective and successful for you. Its not just about our qualifications but how we connect and work together. I am a Neurodivergent counsellor and have found this out very late in life, I understand how it feels to just not fit in or be able to conform to the 'norms' of society, to struggle to work out why we are different. How to find ways to learn who you are and love all those 'quirks' that make us different. I understand how this feels and will work with you to help you find your way to manage what you are experiencing. I have learnt experience with CNBC - childless not by choice and Chronic Pain & Fatigue conditions. With both of these I find it can really be beneficial that I have an understanding of how it feels and not just how it is to study these experiences. As well as working with Adults I also work as a counsellor with young people in schools, colleges and my private practice.
