Domestic abuse and violence have many forms, such as emotional, psychological, financial, and physical. A destructive, abusive environment does not get better, as it has a vicious cycle of the honeymoon stage, tensions mounting, and repeated abuse. If this destructive pattern is not broken, it might lead to death, as according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) the percentage of deaths from domestic abuse and violence is 1 in 5.
