Spirituality is a very important aspect of life for many people. For individuals with a very developed spiritual life working with a therapist who is understanding and supportive of their spirituality can be very helpful. For others who may be wanting to connect more deeply with spirituality it can be useful to include that as a focus within the therapy. I am glad to engage with clients about Buddhist ideas and practices if these have meaning to the person but I only do so when invited, and in doing so I strive to find ways of it supporting the client's therapy.
