We are all familiar with stress. When you have good emotional health, you’re aware of your thoughts feelings and behaviors. You can manage stress and problems that are a normal part of life. You experience life events as challenges rather than problems. However, many events that happen in your life can disrupt physical and emotional health with a consequence of sadness, depression and anxiety. Stress can be experience regardless of whether life event is perceived as positive or negative. Stress releases toxic chemicals that Can contribute to many psychological, physical and behavioral symptoms and conditions. The longest rest continues, the more serious the effects become. You may experience exhaustion, chronic fatigue and be unable to sleep. These symptoms when left unaddressed can contribute to a number of physical, behavioral and psychological conditions. Conditions include heart disease, hypertension, insomnia, muscle pain, panic disorder and other conditions. An abbreviated list of additional symptoms impacted by stress are: difficulties with swallowing, muscle tension, anxiety, worry, anger, hopelessness, feelings of being unable to cope, fearfulness, poor concentration, and an Increased potential for the use of substances of abuse. It is of utmost importance that stress is addressed to avoid the above symptoms and conditions. I will assist you through various approaches that include, but are not limited to: biofeedback, cognitive behavioral techniques, psychotherapy, breath work, brainwave entrainment andgeneric stress management techniques.
