Starting therapy for the first time can feel overwhelming, but I'm here to make sure you feel comfortable and heard. I believe in focusing on your strengths and working together to discover how to use them effectively to find solutions. Together, we can build your resilience by creating a toolbox of internal coping skills that you can rely on in challenging times. In addition to strengths-based therapy, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. Through CBT, we can work on problem-solving, resilience-building, relaxation techniques, stress management, and even practice assertiveness through role-playing. Our sessions will be tailored to your goals, and I may suggest some exercises for you to try between sessions to help you apply these skills in your daily life.
