Violence is undesirable in any family and society. If you have suffered violence or domestic abuse, I am here to help you heal and find solutions for your peace. Patients with this disorder are getting resilient and recovering in no time due to my Dicit therapy.
I have worked in various clinical, management and supervisory positions in clinical and community settings. Previously, I ran the day-to-day operations of the Erie County Domestic Violence Rape Crisis Center and Non-Residential Domestic Violence provider for New York State, which serviced the statewide hotlines for Domestic and Sexual Violence.
When addressing cases of domestic violence, I approach each client with deep empathy and a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing. I understand that experiences of domestic violence can leave profound emotional scars, and my goal is to help clients navigate the complex emotions and trauma that arise from such situations.
I begin by establishing a foundation of trust, allowing clients to share their experiences at their own pace. It’s essential that they feel heard and validated without fear of judgment or pressure. From there, I use trauma-informed care to guide our work, recognizing the pervasive impact that domestic violence can have on a person’s sense of safety, identity, and well-being.
For individuals who have experienced domestic abuse or violence, validation is a key component of treatment. I prioritize meeting clients where they are and focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, which is crucial for successful treatment, especially for those who have endured consistently invalidating environments. Together, we determine the most effective approach, whether it's Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), DBT with Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), Exposure Therapy, or a combination of interventions. I look forward to working with you to achieve your therapeutic goals!
