I am trauma and attachment therapist working with clients who have experienced childhood-developmental trauma, relational trauma, intimate partner abuse, bullying, or PTSD. Clients that arrive with multiple presentations or have experience traumatic events tend to struggle with on-going states of anxiety and depression, relationship issues, become labelled as bipolar and experience borderline personality disorder. My purpose is to help clients to connect with their bodies, mind and brain to achieve better understanding of them-selves and build clarity, self-regulation and resilience.
I am Mandy Fang, the founder of Hopewoods Psychotherapy and Consulting Services. I am a registered social worker, counsellor, and a Registered Psychotherapist in the Province of Ontario (CRPO). My 15 years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families with complex needs, combined with my own personal struggles with infertility, provided me with a unique lens to view situations and comprehend the complex emotions behind human suffering.
Here to help you in transforming and healing your life through ritualizing and integrating the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical dimensions of holistic wellness
Mental health must recognize individualism- within the psychotherapeutic environment, my key values include respecting and empowering individualism, and creating a safe, collaborative approach with you. You are the storyteller of your life, and my role is to further support you while you write, edit, and enhance the pages. My clients have shared that I provide a genuine and non-judgmental presence while they worked towards their therapeutic goals. You can expect a therapeutic setting that is professional, yet relaxed, and the calm atmosphere we will create together will help you explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Sessions are currently offered virtually or over phone.
Each person is unique and individual, and there is not a one size-fits all model. Everyone experiences pain, trauma and adversity in their own unique way. Ilana strives towards providing an empathetic, safe environment in which clients can begin to heal and advance to a path towards happiness, self fulfillment and meaning.

*ACCEPTING NEW CLIENT'S* I am so glad you are here and putting forth your needs first or maybe you are here because your friend or family member needs support or you are just tired of feeling this ‘Numb’ feeling and you want some answers as to “Why are you feeling this way? or asking yourself “Why don’t I feel happy or sad anymore?”, “Why am I like this?”, What is wrong with me? If I have made you question yourself right now then you are in the right place with the right person. As your therapist, I will help you explore all these feelings.
We all know what it feels like to experience overwhelm - when life just seems to get out of control. As individuals, we develop our own coping mechanisms to help us get through these difficult times. Things that where helpful at one point, often stop serving us in the long run. If you feel tired of what feels like an uphill battle, it might be worthwhile to consider how therapy can help you. This journey is is not easy, but it can be tremendously rewarding in the long run. Together, we can work on understanding how past experiences have shaped you into the person that you are today and how you can move forward with developing a greater sense of connection to yourself.
