Low self-esteem can impact every aspect of our lives, but it doesn't have to define us. In therapy, you'll find a safe and supportive space where you can explore the root causes of your self-esteem issues, challenge negative beliefs about yourself, and learn to cultivate a more positive and compassionate self-image.
I specialize in working with adults and teens (16+) in recovery from mental health conditions and life stressors. Some of these include anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use disorders, eating disorders, loss, grief, life transitions, women's and LGBTQIA+ health issues and trauma.
Self esteem is an inside job. Most of us have made up stories of ourselves to keep us safe from disappointment, failure, rejection, etc. And, unless we take risk and take uncomfortable action, we will stay stuck as a victim with a story to prove we are right. Staying safe and comfortable does nothing positive for our self-esteem. This is where I find it useful to push people a bit from more of a coaching perspective to hold people accountable in taking action in ways they are going to act differently to get the results they want, and by when did you say?
I see entering therapy as sacred work. I view relationships as our biggest vehicles of growth in life and believe every relationship has something that can be learned from it to help us embrace more of who we really are. I specialize in individual, couple and sex therapy, as well as trauma.
Building self-esteem can feel like a journey, or even an impossible proposition, but I'm here to walk that path with you. We'll explore together, in a safe and supportive space, your strengths and accomplishments, while also addressing negative thoughts that might be holding you back. Remember, you are worthy and capable, and I'm here to help you see and believe in your true potential.

I believe that so many mental health issues and symptoms result from low self-esteem and self-worth. I provide support to people in developing a more positive view of themselves and speaking to themselves more compassionately and kindly.
It is easy to feel down on ourselves. When we're down on ourselves, it's important to stop and reflect. One of my strengths is helping clients do this. I will ask thoughtful questions that generate insight and new thoughts, and we will work together to help you feel better.
