Self-esteem can be improved through strengths-building in all aspects of the personality. I have training using Internal Family Systems to enable clients to explore the different emotional/cognitive/behavioral patterns they experience across the life experience, to create change and become more empowered and self-reliant and effective.

Are you a teen, adolescent or young adult who feels overwhelmed by life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Do you feel like sometimes you are expected to be a super hero and be all things to all people? Allow me to create an environment that empowers you by teaching you to help you first.
Self-doubt and self-criticalness can stem from many places: trauma, negative personal/professional relationships, unrealistic internal/external expectations. Low self-esteem can cause and perpetuate depression, anxiety, negative thinking, relationship issues, issues with motivation/focus, and maladaptive and/or self-destructive behaviors. In therapy, I help clients identify the root of their feelings and ways to overcome them. Treatment is tailored to each client's needs and goals. Common modalities used during therapy may include Crisis Intervention, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.

Self-doubt, perfectionism, imposter syndrome. Let's explore the thoughts you have around these topics and find a path forward to a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Many people would say they have low self-esteem. Humans tend to internalize negative messages more than positive ones, and over time our self-talk starts to reflect these negative messages. Additionally, when we experience negative self-talk, it clouds our perspective so that more and more we start interpreting neutral (or even mildly positive) messages in a negative way. Negative self-talk is often associated with feelings of failure, depression, anxiety and pessimism. The two primary therapeutic approaches that I use with clients are both evidence-based treatments for reducing symptoms that are often associated with low self-esteem. Accelerated Resolution Therapy can reduce the negative emotional reaction to triggers in an average of 1 to 5 sessions. Cognitive Behavior Therapy helps clients identify and replace the unhelpful thinking that leads to uncomfortable feelings and less preferred actions. Together, these two approaches can help bring faster relief and "clear your headspace" to learn new strategies and tools for identifying your strengths and "positizing" your perspective.
